Resúmen
El presente artículo aborda la incidencia del discurso capitalista en el campo psi, puntualizando su primera aparición en la psicología, específicamente en el Conductismo a través del concepto de adaptación. Se realiza una lectura crítica del concepto de adaptación propuesto por John Watson, fundador del Conductismo. Watson introduce en la psicología conceptos y funciones que nunca antes había tenido esta disciplina: predicción, vigilancia, incremento de la eficiencia, control de reacciones, anticipación y fiscalización de la actividad humana. Estas novedades produjeron un relevo teórico, metodológico y técnico en el campo discursivo de la psicología. En este relevo ésta se estructura como “aparato ideológico” del discurso capitalista. La psicología apuntará a fiscalizar la actividad humana convirtiendo al psicólogo en un técnico del discurso del Amo capitalista que tendrá a su cargo conducir a los sujetos a una “adaptación plena” en términos de productividad. De este modo, Watson, al introducir el concepto de adaptación, realiza en el campo psi, la primera respuesta a la demanda del discurso capitalista. A partir del análisis etimológico de los términos empleados por Watson, en conceptos fundamentales de la obra fundacional del Conductismo, encontramos un hilo lógico que demuestra una consistencia entre la estructura del discurso conductista al momento de su nacimiento y la propuesta conductista actual, trazando un arco que va desde el nivel de eficiencia del trabajador como cuestión de la psicología hasta la idea de destrucción. Sosteniéndose sobre una reducción biologista enunciada por el discurso capitalista en la vía de su deseo en detrimento del deseo del sujeto. Allí propongo el neologismo inglés “efficienceering” que se traduciría por el neologismo castellano “eficienciería”, para dar cuenta de la ingeniería de la eficiencia que instala el Conductismo.

Abstract
The present article is on the effects the capitalist discourse impressed on the field psi, specifying its first appearance in psychology, particularly in Behaviourism through the concept of adaptation. It is made a critical reading of the concept of adaptation proposed by John Watson, founder of Behaviourism. Watson introduces in psychology concepts and functions that this discipline had never had before: prediction, surveillance, increase of efficiency, control of reactions, supervision of the human activity. This news caused a theoretical, methodological and technical relay in the discursive field of psychology. In this relay, it structures itself as an “ideological device” of the capitalist discourse. Psychology will aim to supervise the human activity transforming the psychologist into a technician of the discours of the capitalist master who will have to lead the subjects into a “full adaptation” in terms of productivity. This way, Watson, introducing the concept of adaptation, states in the field psi the first answer to the demand of the capitalist discours. From the etymological analysis of the terms used by Watson, in fundamental concepts from the foundational work of Behaviourism, we find a logical thread that shows a consistency between the structure of the behaviourist discourse at the moment of its birth and the current behaviourist proposal, drawing an arch that goes from the worker’s efficiency level as a matter of psychology to the idea of destruction. Holding on a biologist reduction stated by the capitalist discourse in the way of its desire to the detriment of the subject´s desire. There I propose the english neologism “efficienceering”, which could be translated by the spanish neologism “eficienciería”, to talk about the engineering of efficiency that Behaviourism establishes.
